As we battle the COVID-19 pandemic, the use of disposable masks and gloves has increased and the waste of such preventative supplies is increasing at an alarming rate.

Divers have found an alarming number of wrongly disposed masks and gloves in the oceans.

These masks and gloves found in the oceans could kill wildlife.

As we try to preserve human life by taking precautions, we should also do our best to preserve wildlife.  Masks and gloves should not disposed of in the oceans, instead they should be given to waste collectors so they can dispose of them properly. A sustainable solution would be to purchase or make your own reusable masks and avoid the use of plastic gloves.
